Low Priority (LP, the "penalty pool") is a separate matchmaking penalty pool in Dota 2 that Valve drops you into for abandons, flaming, griefing, and teammate reports. Inside it, matches run only in Single Draft, with worse players and no profile stats. To return to regular matchmaking you need to win 1 to 5 matches in a row — the exact number is shown by the Dota 2 client itself. The calculator above picks a package for your situation.

What Low Priority is and what gets you there
Low Priority (LP) is Dota 2's penalty pool for players with bad behavior. You land in Low Priority for: frequent teammate reports (flaming, griefing), frequent abandons (leaving the match), and voice behavior in matches (after reports). Inside LP you only play with other penalized players, which turns every match into a nightmare.
How many wins are needed to get out of LP
The standard penalty is 1 win. For repeat violations — 2, 3, or 5 wins. Dota 2 shows the exact number in the match search menu. If you don't see it, open the game client in the main menu, above the "Find Match" button.
